Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer with around 6 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines and solutions using the Snowflake platform.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement data models (Star/Snowflake schemas) in Snowflake.
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, or external ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, etc.).
Load and transform structured and semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet, Avro) into Snowflake.
Write advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and Snowflake scripting.
Optimize Snowflake performance (query tuning, clustering, partitioning, warehouse sizing).
Implement data security and governance (RBAC, masking, encryption).
Integrate Snowflake with cloud platforms like AWS / Azure / GCP.
Work with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) for reporting and analytics.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and warehouse performance.
Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders.
· Experience Required 5–7 Years (including ~3+ years on Snowflake)
Required Skills
Strong experience in Snowflake Cloud Data Platform
Proficiency in SQL (advanced level)
Hands-on with data warehousing concepts
ETL/ELT development experience
Knowledge of Snowflake features:
Snowpipe
Streams & Tasks
Time Travel & Zero Copy Cloning
Data Sharing
Programming & Tools
Python / Shell scripting (good to have)
Experience with ETL tools:
Informatica / Talend / DBT / ADF / Airflow
Version control tools (Git)
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Good communication and collaboration
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Snowflake (SnowPro Core / Advanced)
Experience with Data Lake and Data Mesh architecture
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines in data engineering
Knowledge of real-time data processing
