Assistant Project Manager
Overview
In this role you drive site safety and oversee day‑to‑day field operations for Tenant Improvement projects. You will coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to deliver on time, within budget, and to Webcor quality standards. You’ll mentor junior staff, interface with clients and inspectors, and manage documentation, schedule changes, and QA/QC activities. This position offers a hands‑on leadership role on active construction sites with a strong emphasis on safety, coordination, and project delivery.
ResponsibilitiesPromote and enforce safety policies on site and maintain site cleanlinessPlan, coordinate, and sequence field work and materials procurement; supervise subcontractors and vendorsLead, develop, and mentor junior staff; provide timely feedbackCoordinate with clients, vendors, inspectors, PM and design teamsPrepare and distribute subcontractor daily activity breakdowns; manage schedule and scope changesSupport LDR reviews and use LDRs for project gains/lossesMaintain daily logs and ensure subcontracts and OSHA/city permitting documentationAssess hoisting and vertical transportation needs; organize site logisticsMonitor QA/QC program; oversee punch list execution and inspectionsEnsure timely scheduling, coordination, and closure of inspectionsApply knowledge of contracts and cost control to budgeting, billing, and forecasting
Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; four years of construction/engineering experience with three years as a Project Engineer or similarStrong background in Tenant ImprovementOSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred) and willingness to training by WebcorExperience with subcontractor management, safety compliance, and QA/QC processesFamiliarity with prime contracts and cost control conceptsAbility to lead design coordination efforts and manage RFI/submittal workflowsProficiency in MS Office; familiarity with BIM and pricing/costing toolsleadership and mentorshipeffective written and verbal communicationstrong teamwork and collaborationMS OfficeWinEstOST
