Youth Leader
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Leader to join our team. The Youth Leader for First Presbyterian Church will engage and support youth as they grow to understand themselves and Spacious Christianity. We are a warm and welcoming community with a growing youth population who need a compassionate leader each Sunday morning while their families attend Sunday Service. We are searching for a Youth Leader who has Spiritual maturity, depth and openness, a love for youth and the gifts they bring and an inclusive theology and passion for all God’s children to flourish.
Youth Leader
Job dates: Start as soon as possible
Hours: 10 Hours per week, Required hours Sunday mornings 930-11, we also have an event the Second Wednesday of each month from 530-830pm and 1-2 quarterly prescheduled church wide events.
Wage: $22-$24 per hour (depending on experience)

+ Role
· Be present for Sunday morning 10 am service to engage, support and teach the youth, that are coming to Sunday morning service with their families.
· Be present and support prescheduled church wide events.
· Be present and support regular occurring events such as Family Potlucks, held 2nd Wednesday evening of every month.
· Creatively teach and engage a curriculum for Spacious Youth that is a continuation of the Spacious Children’s curriculum, supported by the Pastoral Team
· Promote the mental health and well-being of youth.
· With support from pastoral team and staff create quarterly and/or monthly events focusing on service, community and experiences allowing for hands on experiences to extend Spacious Christianity into real world places and fun events to engage and connect with each other and the church community

· Create and build connections with youth and their families within our church.
· Develop and sustain a safe and welcoming community space for all youth.
· Support Bend Youth Collective and the youth that chose to participate.
· Create and maintain connections with Bend Youth Collective.
· Focus on character building experiences that allow youth to bring their Spacious Christianity to the greater community and their daily lives.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
