Inspects purchased parts, assemblies, and materials for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices. Examines items for defects in materials, workmanship, and damage. Inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, according to blueprints, part manuals, applicable standards, and other specifications. Approves or rejects items, and records inspection and disposition information. Completes the non-conforming material process for defective items. Helps to develop and modify inspection procedures to use in subsequent inspections using data obtained from drawings or customer specifications. Use measuring instruments like depth and bore gauges, calipers, height gauges, and micrometers. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Manufacturing experience/exposure a plus. Forklift experience a plus. Strong organization skills.
