Job Title: Tower Foreman MODSLocation: Tulsa, OklahomaJob ID: 708Job OverviewThe Tower Foreman MODS will take the lead on all facets of tower installations, encompassing antennas and transmission lines. This position necessitates daily construction responsibilities, ensuring superior quality from the foundational phase through to the installation of lattice towers, monopoles, and guyed towers. A certified climber willing to travel up to 75% away from home is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and oversee the installation, removal, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment.Provide effective supervision and leadership to the crew throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to safety, quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines.Troubleshoot alarms and RSSI issues at job sites utilizing supplied sweep gear.Conduct electrical and mechanical down tilts on various antennas with the use of antenna controller units.Manage jumper installations as required to support ongoing tasks.Execute jumper connections with insights gained from connector training.Complete all essential equipment and supply paperwork.Climb communication structures, including guyed towers, monopoles, rooftops, and silos.Perform safety audits and inspections for defects and quality assurance.Adhere to daily instructions, completing necessary paperwork and printouts.Coordinate material logistics and schedule site access with property landlords.Gather and submit all closeout documentation within established timelines.Identify improvement areas for the crew and recommend training to management as necessary.Maintain tool inventory and perform daily site upkeep.Interpret site plans and tower drawings accurately.Utilize hand and power tools effectively to conduct general construction work at cellular sites.Required SkillsProficient in leading, teaching, and training on safe work procedures.Strong knowledge of telecommunications equipment installation and maintenance.Skilled in troubleshooting alarms and RSSI issues.Experience with PIM gear and troubleshooting methodologies.Capable of performing electrical and mechanical down tilts.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Proficient in using various hand and power tools for construction tasks.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.4-8 years of relevant experience is preferred.Certification as a Tower Climber through Gravitec Systems, Inc. or ComTrain is mandatory.Rescue certification and OSHA 30 certification are required.Career Growth OpportunitiesThis role offers significant opportunities for career advancement within the telecommunications sector.
