Software Engineer (L5) - JavaScript Platform

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer (L5) - JavaScript Platform to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space.This role will focus on building and evolving the internal JavaScript platform that supports application development, integration, and delivery at scale. The engineer will partner closely with application teams to improve usability, developer productivity, and the reliability of shared tooling and workflows. This position also plays a key role in strengthening performance, observability, and deployment processes across the engineering organization.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $388,000 – $558,000 annuallyResponsibilities Define and evolve internal CLIs and SDKs for software integration Partner with JavaScript teams to enhance platform usability Own the core application development platform and its CI/CD workflows Lead performance and observability enhancements for the platform Drive improvements in local development experience and shared concerns Manage infrastructure and deployment integrations with internal systemsQualifications 5–7 years of experience in JavaScript software development Proven track record of designing and operating CI/CD systems at scale Strong understanding of interface design and abstraction principles Experience optimizing production workflows and managing technical debt Ability to balance customer support needs with feature development Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills Strong problem-solving abilities in ambiguous technical situationsBenefits Comprehensive health plans, including mental health support 401(k) plan with employer match Stock option program Disability programs and life benefits Health savings and flexible spending accounts Family-forming benefits Flexible and generous paid time off policiesOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
