Machine Learning / Data Science Engineer
Overview
CapTech seeks a mid-senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, implement, and productionize data-driven ML systems for enterprise clients. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable ML solutions and help grow CapTech’s ML & Data Science practice. You’ll tackle data-rich challenges across multiple domains and present outcomes to clients, enabling measurable impact. This role blends hands-on development with leadership in client engagements and internal knowledge sharing.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and deploy end-to-end ML solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teamsDeconstruct client needs into data-driven models and metricsAnalyze and transform large enterprise datasets across AWS, Azure, and GCPDevelop production-ready analytical solutions (e.g., recommender systems, NLP, risk scoring)Productionize ML systems with a focus on performance and scalabilityContribute to business development and lead junior data scientists and engineersDeliver client presentations and help grow the ML/Data Science practice
Key requirementsBachelor degree or equivalent experienceHands-on with large datasets (multi-billion records)Proficient in Python, Scala, or similar languagesStrong SQL, Spark, NoSQL, and cloud data processing experience in productionExperience with Docker and microservicesFamiliarity with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure SQL, Amazon RDSAbility to frame data problems from cross-industry requirementsHands-on experience deploying production-scale ML in domains such as personalization, NLP, or computer visionKnowledge of DevOps, statistics, and model versioningExperience with LLMs in production and prompt engineering, MCP, RAG, agentic AI architecturesExperience with LangChain, n8n, pydantic, multi-agent orchestrationcross-functional collaborationclient-facing communicationleadership of teamsPythonScalaSQL
