Mechanical Engineer
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for assuring quality and timely completion of engineering designs and reports. The Mechanical Engineer should be comfortable in interfacing with the clients, visiting clients’ facilities and performing physical work such as walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs/ladders. The Mechanical Engineer reports to the Mechanical Discipline Manager. ResponsibilitiesDeveloping project scope including P&ID development and equipment selectionCollection and presentation of key data/informationDetailed engineering calculationsTechnical specifications & datasheetsConducting vendor drawing and calculation reviewsTechnical evaluation of bidsAssistance in field work, construction support, and problem-solving activitiesAssuring quality and timely completion of engineering designs and reportsComfortable in interfacing with the clients, visiting clients’ facilities and performing physical work such as walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs/laddersQualificationsBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering requiredEIT Certification desiredAdvanced degree, and/or P.E. certification a plusActive participation in professional organizations a plus3+ years' experience with boilers, pumps, exchangers and pressure vesselsProject lead experience developing engineering schedules, budgets and forecastsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively in teams and to present a positive image to clientsWorking knowledge of or familiarity with:Microsoft Office products including MS ProjectAutoCAD and 3-D CAD a plusMechanical Engineering design tools and calculations (software: PV Elite, Compress, Navisworks, Caesar II, NozzlePro) Working knowledge of Industry Standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, PIPCompetitive Benefits Learn more about our competitive benefits in detail.
