Adolescent Primary Therapist - PHP/IOP

Primary TherapistOn Site | Coconut Creek, FL | Full-Time/Part-Time | 12pm-8pm Monday-FridayAbout The RoleYou are the clinical owner of each client's treatment experience at AWA. From intake through discharge, you lead assessment, treatment planning, individual and family therapy, and case coordination — while helping build the culture and clinical standards of a brand-new program from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to join a founding team and shape something meaningful from day one.Backgrounds that translate well: Adolescent Mental Health PHP/IOP Community Mental Health School-Based Counseling Residential TreatmentWhat You'll DoProvide individual, family, and group therapy for adolescents in PHP/IOPComplete biopsychosocial assessments, diagnoses, and master treatment plans at intakeLead each case from a multidisciplinary lens in collaboration with psychiatry, case management, and external providersCommunicate weekly with families regarding clinical progress and expectationsMonitor treatment progress and adjust plans when progress stalls or clinical needs shiftFacilitate assigned groups and participate in clinical meetings and case conceptualizationSupport crisis intervention as needed; coordinate with clinical leadership on escalationsCoordinate discharge and aftercare planning with families and outside providersComplete all documentation within required timeframes and compliance standardsWhat We're Looking ForRegistered Mental Health Counselor Intern or Licensed Clinician (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) in FloridaMaster's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy2+ years of experience in adolescent mental health or PHP/IOP settingsBilingual required: English and Spanish or PortugueseSkilled in CBT, DBT, MI, and family systems approachesStrong clinical documentation practices — DAP notes, group notes, treatment plans completed on timeConfident leading groups, engaging resistant teens, and navigating complex family dynamicsEligible for DCF and AHCA Level 2 background screening and drug testOrganized, grounded, and genuinely invested in adolescent outcomesAWA is an adolescent mental health organization operating PHP and IOP programs across South Florida.
