Project Coordinator
Hybrid: Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday || Remote Monday, and Friday
Hours/Shift: Standard business hours with flexibility. Most of the team works between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
Job Description: This role supports the capital stage‑gate process, which is labor‑intensive and document‑heavy. The Project Coordinator will serve as a centralized resource responsible for collecting information from engineers, completing intake and stage‑gate documentation, submitting materials, and tracking where projects are within the process. The role is meant to alleviate administrative and coordination work currently slowing down the engineering team.
Initially, the role will focus heavily on learning Xcels stage‑gate and capital processes. Day‑to‑day work will include proactively reaching out to engineers for required inputs, completing and updating documentation, tracking project status, and coordinating with the stage‑gate and finance teams when scopes or budgets change. This is a facilitation and coordination role rather than a project management role.
The role is collaborative and team‑oriented. While the coordinator works closely with the engineering group, they are also expected to independently reach out to other teams and departments as needed without requiring constant oversight.
