Survey Party Chief

Impact Recruitment is partnered with a successful Civil Engineering and Land Surveying company seeking a Survey Party Chief in Boise, Idaho.The Survey Party Chief is responsible for leading a field survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients.Responsibilities:The crew chief oversees the daily field operations of a survey crewDetermine most efficient plan of action for data acquisition for field surveys ranging from primary control through construction layout and as-built surveys, as neededUnderstand and follow directionsProficient with documentation of work performed and sketchesCommunicate daily with Project Surveyor and technician regarding project schedule and work progressInteract professionally with client representative and land ownersRead and interpret construction drawings/specifications and understand all aspects of the project specifications and tolerancesPrepare daily reports, time sheets, and other required paperworkMaintain vehicle and field equipmentOther duties as assignedQualifications Required:5+ years of industry experience, prior crew chief experience is preferredExperience in residential, commercial, transportation, or municipal industriesExperience with Trimble equipment is preferredStrong communication skills (listening, writing and verbal)Proven work history, strong work ethic, and team-player attitudeAbility to travel for extended periodsAbility to work in all-weather climatesAbility to walk long distances through a variety of terrains and carry up to 80lbsValid driver's license, clean background check and drug screeningThis is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and passionate self-starter to work directly with a highly respected Civil Engineering and Surveying company.
