11-50About the RoleThe Company is seeking a Board Treasurer to join its dedicated team. The Treasurer will play a crucial role in providing financial oversight, ensuring sound fiscal management, and supporting strategic decision-making to sustain and grow the organization's artistic and community impact. This position is a key part of the Board of Directors, which serves as the governing body and is responsible for mission stewardship, strategic direction, financial oversight, and executive leadership support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the performing arts and community-based cultural organizations, with experience in finance, accounting, investment management, or related fields. Strategic thinking, a governance-level perspective, and a commitment to advancing inclusive and accessible arts experiences are essential.Core responsibilities for the Treasurer include upholding fiduciary duties, providing strategic oversight, and engaging in executive and financial stewardship. This involves preparing for and participating in board meetings, reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit laws. The Treasurer will also be involved in long-term financial planning, supporting fundraising efforts, and maintaining strong governance practices. The position requires a time commitment of approximately 40-60 hours per year, including regular board meetings, finance committee participation, and attendance at key performances and community events. The successful candidate will serve a three-year term, with the possibility of renewal, and must be prepared to make a personally meaningful annual contribution to the organization.Travel Percent
