Learn more at hexagon.com and follow us @HexagonAB.Purpose Of PositionThe main components to this role are:To participate in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure the products the company releases achieve the specified customer objectives, through the successful completion of our Field, Operational, and Market readiness stage gates.To plan, coordinate, conduct and report upon the field trial of the Product as part of the Product Release Process transitioning products from Development teams to a Selling/Service and Support UnitCollaborate on field testing in Montana, United StatesEnsure products achieve the stated customer and functional requirements.To plan, coordinate, conduct and report upon the transfer of product knowledge between development, product, and the Hexagon regions.Where needed, conduct internal training on new products for internal technical staff (Service and Support)Assist in the development of functional requirement specifications for productsAssist with competitor analysis activitiesContribute to the product documentation set.Major Areas Of ResponsibilityConduct proving grounds trials of new release and new product.Provide insight into technical and client requirements for products to Product Management based on market / industry knowledge and experience to ensure that future developments and product enhancements will set Hexagon apart from its competitors and provide end users with the desired functionality and featuresSupport in definition ofInitial deployments of the new productsproduct roadmaps,product release executionoperations handover documentationnew product trainingAs required be part of the escalation of customer issues rising as part of new product introductionsParticipation in a cross functional project team to develop, test and/or maintain existing productsAct as a Product Champion for assigned product/sStandardize base deployment of existing and new productsFacilitate best practice definition with regional service teams to create global standardsDevelop skills around assigned product families and transfer this knowledge to regional teamsCollaborate with other team members to ensure a common and effective approach to NPI processes, documentation structure and content, and issue loggingProvide support to regions during field trials and on initial deployments and until region capabilities match demandActively participate in cross training and knowledge transfer initiatives across functional teams where possibleAdheres to Hexagon valuesCompliance with Hexagon Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, participation in audits and compliance with instructions given in respect to the health and safety of himself / herself and the safety of othersMust be able to work on surface or underground and may be exposed to harsh work environments.Use of personal protective equipment, including steel toe boots, safety glasses, etc.Valid passport and driver's license.Other duties as required from time to timeKnowledge And Experience - RequiredA relevant Bachelor’s Degree (Mining, Engineering), or equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal training qualifications are desirable, but not essentialAt least 5 years of experience working in the mining environment with Hexagon in-pit technologies or similar.Fluent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Fluent English (written and verbal). Additional languages (e.g. Portuguese, Spanish) would be highly regarded.Knowledge And Experience - DesiredA high degree of experience working in the mining environment with Hexagon in-pit technologies.Strong technical skills and the ability to rapidly grasp customers' requirements and technical solutionsAbility to rapidly acquire knowledge and experience on new technologies in order to use the knowledge to provide customer support and trainingStrong communication skills including the ability to communicate product information and technical concepts effectively to a non-technical audienceDemonstrated experience in technical documentation and strong written communication skills.Strong analytical and conceptual skillsHigh motivation level, pro-active, flexible team player, customer focusedAbility to work independently and yet be accountableStrong sense of urgency, responsibility and accountabilityUnderstands the product development and management lifecycleTravelSignificant travel required during periods of testing, specifically to Butte, Montana.Location:This position is open to candidates based in Arizona who reside within reasonable driving distance of Tucson or Phoenix airports, as well as candidates located within driving distance of the Butte, MT mine location.
