As a senior technical consultant, you will lead the evolution, management, and support of critical analytical platforms, empowering hundreds of users across diverse business lines to drive data-driven innovation and strategic decisions. Your impact will be felt across infrastructure reliability, cutting-edge technology adoption, and robust disaster recovery strategies, directly contributing to the organization’s resilience and analytical prowess.What You’ll DoLead Platform Management:** Oversee the management, upgrade, and support of a custom Python distribution, an enterprise analytics platform, and an R analytics ecosystem across various operating systems (Linux, Windows, cloud instances). This includes version upgrades, security vulnerability remediation, virtual environment management, and ensuring seamless integration with enterprise systems.Provide Technical Leadership:** Serve as a senior technical consultant, offering guidance on architectural decisions, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, and defining the technical direction for platform evolution. Mentor team members on best practices for server administration, deployment automation, and cross-platform integration.Ensure Infrastructure Reliability:** Design and maintain comprehensive server monitoring and alerting solutions across numerous Linux servers supporting critical analytics workloads. Implement automated memory management, filesystem health checks, proactive incident notification systems, and capacity planning tools to ensure optimal performance and uptime.Coordinate Disaster Recovery:** Act as the coordinator for the analytics organization’s disaster recovery initiatives. Ensure business continuity through proactive monitoring, documented recovery procedures, and regular testing, collaborating with infrastructure teams and business stakeholders to maintain recovery readiness.Govern Production Pipelines:** Lead the signoff process for all production deployments, implementing rigorous testing and validation protocols. Ensure zero-impact rollouts of database drivers, platform upgrades, and security patches through structured testing, clear communication plans, and staged deployment strategies.What You’ll BringExtensive experience managing and supporting enterprise analytics platforms**, including statistical computing environments (e.g., R) and custom Python distributions across diverse operating systems (Linux, Windows, cloud).Proficiency in server administration** for Linux (e.g., server environments) and Windows Server, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security hardening.Demonstrated expertise in cloud services**, specifically compute instances, object storage, serverless query services, custom image management, and infrastructure as code (e.g., for provisioning resources).Strong background in authentication and security protocols** (e.g., Active Directory integration, Kerberos, Linux authentication frameworks, SSL/TLS certificate management) and package security scanning/repository management solutions.Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining robust monitoring and alerting solutions** for server performance, memory management, filesystem health, and proactive incident notification.Ability to develop and support internal web applications** (e.g., using Python frameworks) and integrate them with enterprise systems.Solid understanding and practical experience with version control systems** and AI-assisted development tools.Familiarity with project management methodologies** (e.g., Agile/Scrumban) and tools for incident management and collaboration.Proven ability to lead technical initiatives**, provide architectural guidance, and mentor team members in a senior technical consultant capacity.Experience coordinating disaster recovery efforts** and implementing rigorous production pipeline governance, including testing and validation protocols for zero-impact rollouts.The target hiring compensation range for this role is $37.78 to $41.98 hr.
