Your potential is our potential and together we can build and grow brands that last.KEY PURPOSE: The Cash Application Specialist is a critical member of the North America Finance team, responsible for the accurate and timely application of customer payments across U.S. and Canadian entities. This role ensures proper reconciliation of accounts through general ledger (GL) clearings, accounts payable (AP) payment postings, and customer account line-item offsets, while upholding strong internal controls. The position requires hands-on SAP expertise and a solid understanding of efficient daily cash application processes.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Download and import bank payment files into SAP, accurately applying customer payments across 15 intercompany entities.Perform regular reconciliations of customer and vendor accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.Create and properly code deductions during payment posting to align with customer remittance details.Apply and clear pre-approved discounts to the appropriate general ledger (GL) accounts during cash application.Ensure all customer payments are posted accurately and on the day of receipt.Process remote deposits for physical checks received at the office.Monitor multiple payment platforms (e.g., credit cards, ACH, lockbox) and ensure timely and accurate application of all transactions.Collaborate with Collections teams to resolve discrepancies and obtain missing payment information.Support month-end close activities, including account balancing, GL clearing, and completion of departmental deliverables within a one-day close cycle.Perform additional ad hoc duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:5+ years of experience in cash application within ERP systems; SAP experience strongly preferredProficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and OutlookExperience working in multi-entity and multinational environmentsStrong attention to detail with a results-driven mindset and high level of accountabilityConfident, professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized, proactive, and capable of effectively prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilitiesCommitted to maintaining high standards of accuracy and driving continuous improvementThrives in a fast‑paced, team‑first, high‑energy environment, with a positive, can‑do, customer‑focused attitude.
