Subcontract Program Mgr

For our client, we are seeking a Subcontract Program Mgr to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.This role is focused on managing subcontract execution and supplier ramp activities that support long-term production needs. The position will partner closely with supply chain planning, general procurement, and other cross-functional teams to strengthen sourcing strategies, pricing discipline, and supplier readiness. The ideal candidate will help balance operational execution with risk management and dual-sourcing efforts in a complex defense environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annuallyResponsibilities Oversee ramp activities for assigned suppliers Manage subcontract execution for funding suppliers Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning and General Procurement Validate suppliers' capacity to meet long-term production needs Author and negotiate long-term pricing agreements with suppliers Support Supply Chain Risk Management activities Align dual sourcing activities with production strategiesQualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field; preferred in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Operations 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Subcontracts, and Supply Chain Management Demonstrated negotiation skills and strategies Experience in new business capture, including proposals Proven leadership capability with multi-discipline project teams Strong interpersonal skills with a relationship-building focusBenefits Opportunity for independent work and cross-functional collaboration Chance to influence supply chain strategies and operations Exposure to various aspects of supply chain management Potential for professional development in risk management and procurementOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
