CNC Machine Operator
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable CNC Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate CNC equipment to produce precision parts while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines performing boring, milling, drilling, reaming, tapping, and turning operations on various castings, steels, and alloys.
Inspect parts and components during production runs to ensure compliance with close tolerances and rigid specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Safely and effectively operate the following machines and equipment:
Okuma vertical and horizontal mills
Okuma vertical and standard lathes with live tooling
Broaching machines, drill presses, hydraulic presses, and balancers
Use hand and power tools, including die grinders, angle grinders, drills, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, pin gauges, and other metrology equipment.
Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, forklifts, and drill presses.
Operate additional equipment or machinery as required and introduced by management.
Assist in production processes such as assembling, fitting, cutting, bending, and other manufacturing operations as needed.
Read, interpret, and follow production drawings, blueprints, and procedures to ensure accurate part production.
Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills
Mechanical aptitude is required.
Ability to lift and maneuver parts or components weighing more than 75 lbs.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
Entry-level candidates must demonstrate mechanical aptitude; prior CNC experience is preferred but not required.
Experienced operators should have proven CNC machining skills across multiple machine types.
Job Details
Job Type: Full-Time
1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (5 eight-hour shifts)
2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM (4 ten-hour shifts)
Compensation
Entry Level: $18 – $19 per hour (mechanical aptitude required)
Experienced: Up to $25 per hour, based on skill set and experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
