Receiving Clerk Morning shift

Brief DescriptionOverview:The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and recording all inbound shipments of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and supplies. This role ensures that all products meet company quality and food safety standards and that inventory is accurately maintained to support efficient production and distribution operations.Key Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documentation. Check for product damage, correct quantities, expiration dates, and proper labeling, ensuring compliance with food safety and company standards. Accurately enter receipts into the inventory management or ERP system. Communicate discrepancies or quality issues promptly to purchasing, quality assurance, or warehouse management. Coordinate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team for inspection and release of raw materials. Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored in the designated temperature-controlled or dry storage areas. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving and storage areas in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety regulations. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and other warehouse-related tasks as needed. Follow all company policies related to food safety, workplace safety, and hygiene. RequirementsRequired Qualifications: High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 1-2 years of experience in warehouse or receiving role, preferably in food manufacturing or distribution Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, or other food safety standards preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, bills of lading, and packing slips. Basic computer skills; experience with ERP or inventory systems preferred. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
