We are TASC!Youth & Family Services (YFS) help parents and young people strive to become healthy and restore their relationships. This division works in partnership with human services, child welfare systems, juvenile courts, and community-based service providers so that together we can help individuals and families obtain the services and skills they need to live in positive, healthy ways.We are offering a $500 sign-on bonus for a full-time Recovery Coordinator. We are currently looking for full-time – Recovery Coordinator Starting at $38,000 – contingent upon experience, education, etc.Summary: This position will reduce gaps in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment for clients in the Intact Family Recovery (IFR) Program and provide SUD screening, assessment and referral for intervention or recovery support services to clients and their families. The Recovery Coordinator is responsible for coordinating services between clients, agencies, and community resources, and helping clients in the Intact Family Recovery program achieve the goals established in SUD treatment plan.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesDevelop working relationship with SUD providers, Intact Family team and DCFS in order to facilitate joint decision making.Collaborate with the Intact Family Team and support client’s engagement in substance use treatment and community.Facilitate individual and/or group orientation or education session (as required) and provide specialized case management services including transportation to clients and their families with mental health and other needs.Provide referrals for identified needs of the client and crisis intervention when neededProvide ongoing support for clients through their treatment and aftercare plan while engaged in Intact Family Services.Document the results of client-related activities including accurate reporting of services.Facilitate random client drug screens.Attend clinical and multi-disciplinary staffing and court hearing, probation, parole with clients, agency and community providers.Work in collaboration with the Advocates for Human Potential Inc. (AHP) evaluation team to inform clients about the evaluation.Complete and maintain all required documentation/forms/reports pertaining to clients required by providers and evaluation.Attend in-service training, conferences and professional development trainings/webinars.Collaborate and consult with SUD providers, DCFS and Intact Family Team as needed.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS B.A. degree preferred in human services, social work, psychology or related field. Certification in Assessment and Referral Specialist (CARS) or CADC.Knowledge of DSM-5 criteria; Substance Use Disorder (SUD), and dependence diagnosis.Must understand and respect individual's unique path to recovery.Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s license, reliable vehicle with car insurance.Must possess a commitment to the recovery community. Proficient computers skills including competency in Microsoft Office applications and Internet.Good communication, organizational and time management skills.Ability to work with diverse vulnerable population.
