Sheet Metal Mechanic

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Sheet Metal Mechanic in Greenville, SC for a one year contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. In this onsite role, you will support the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal and structural components for F-16 aircraft. You will work from blueprints and technical layouts while using precision measuring equipment to complete structural aircraft assemblies.Required SkillsMinimum of 6+ years of recent aircraft sheet metal or precision drilling experienceExperience interpreting blueprints and fastener layoutsHands-on experience with aircraft structural assembly workExperience with precision drilling and reaming operationsExperience with riveting and installation of various aircraft fastenersExperience with countersinking and part trimmingAbility to fabricate and assemble sheet metal and structural aircraft componentsExperience using precision measuring equipmentStrong knowledge of aircraft structural assembly operations and maintenanceAbility to perform hands-on fuselage and structural build-up workWhat You'll DoInterpret blueprints, fastener layouts, and structural assembly instructionsFabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal and structural aircraft componentsPerform precision drilling, reaming, riveting, and fastener installationComplete countersinking and part trimming operations as requiredBuild up fuselage components for aircraft structural assembliesUse precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and compliance with specificationsSupport production activities for aircraft structural assembly and maintenancePerform additional related duties as assignedWork Schedule / ShiftMust be able to start 5/18/2026Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shiftTraining will be conducted on 1st shift before assignment to final shift1st Shift: Monday–Thursday 6:00 AM–4:30 PM2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday 4:30 PM–3:00 AMJob ID: 21071"Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
