If you are detail-oriented, hardworking, and looking for a place to call home, we invite you to apply for this opening.Job DescriptionPosition Summary & ObjectiveThe Proposal Leader prepares company proposals and works to ensure goals are met in a timely manner. The Proposal Leader will collaborate with various departments throughout the company to review and assess project plans. Responsible for creating proposals and maintaining communication with prospects.AccountabilitiesDevelopment of final and budgetary proposals for company products and servicesLeadership and coordination of technical and commercial information necessary to respond to customer and company needsEssential Functions Performed by the Position Take ownership in preparation/ follow-up of proposals for company products and services in response to customer requests by:Gaining full understanding of customer needs through thorough review of customer provided information and communication with respective account managerCommunicating proposal requirements to functional departmentsOversee solicitations and assist in evaluating quotations from potential major subcontractors with support from our purchasing and engineering departments along with our estimatorsCompiling and reviewing functional department proposal input to ensure compliance with customer technical and commercial requirementsMaintaining and ensuring the dispositioning of entries into the proposal risk registerPreparing the necessary pricing with input from estimating, supply chain and other departments, as necessaryEnsuring the proposal communicates the strategy and messaging thereofAddressing customer feedback/questions concerning proposal submittalsLeading contract negotiations with customers working with our commercial managerPreparing contract release documentationAddress customer requests for preliminary pricing, technical and performance informationCustomer presentations and on-site meetingsParticipation in trade showsProvide support to the project management teamPrepare and execute all internal approval requirements in support of the company’s quality systemImprove proposal development processes and efficiencyDevelop hydro turbine technical product knowledgeQualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesGeneral business knowledgeProposal project management knowledgeData analyticsAbility to collaborateAbility to work in teams and individuallyAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to adapt to new changesDetail orientedAbility to manage proposal softwareRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business, with five (5) years of experience in technical proposal preparation, technical sales and/or complex project management OR equivalent experienceLicenses or Certifications RequiredNoneAdditional informationEnvironment and Working ConditionsNormal office environmentProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computerTravel RequirementsUp to 10%DisclaimerThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
