EHSS & Analytics Lead

TITLE: EHSS and Analytics Lead LOCATION: Mapleton Plant REPORTS TO: Plant Manager The EHSS and Analytics Lead will be responsible for continuous improvement of the overall culture and processes at the Mapleton site. This will be done by improving the levels of safety awareness, regulatory compliance and security, CI initiatives, including IPS, and savings through the leadership of strong involvement, heighten awareness, accountability, best practices, and analytics. Core Responsibilities: Lead the site environmental/sustainability, health, safety and security (EHSS) process including the local industrial hygiene program including but not limited to respiratory protection, bloodborne pathogen, hearing conservation and OSHA recordability of occupational injuries and illnesses. Ensure Regulatory and Ingredion compliance with all applicable standards, procedures and best working practices including, but not limited to OSHA, NFPA, EPA, Illinois DNR and Site Security. Provide leadership in Incident and Injury investigations and root cause analysis. Manage site environmental compliance working with plant and community stakeholders as required. Train employees as needed and required in all matters of EHSS. Act as site safety team leader. Drive the EHSS, Continuous Improvement (CI) and Ingredion Performance System (IPS) initiatives and activities to meet short- and long-term goals. Accountable for data, reporting and auditing of EHSS, CI and IPS metrics. Work with Continuous Improvement Manager to drive Plant KPI performance and IPS standards. Qualified candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree in an industrial health or related science field preferred or the equivalent EHSS experience with a minimum high school diploma. Experience in safety, health, and environmental management in a manufacturing environment. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation, preferred. Demonstrated investigation techniques to find root cause and proper corrective actions. Capability to understand the explicit details of all applicable regulatory requirements and what is required to maintain full compliance. Experience using Lean Six Sigma techniques, to support operational objectives through improved processes, desirable. Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret technical procedures and standards. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Use of Power BI, a plus. Ability to build trust and confidence on all levels within the Ingredion organization and local site. Demonstrated ability to effect change through persuasion and good communication, and maintain effective working relationships across the facility Demonstrated strong presentation skills.
