Practice leaders at AE2S focus on the Technologies, Trends, and Training for their respective practices.If you are a recognized leader in drinking water treatment, water infrastructure, or environmental engineering, this is your chance to make a national impact.ResponsibilitiesYou will lead the strategy, technical direction, and growth of AE2S' Drinking Water Treatment Practice.Set and drive the national vision for how we provide drinking water treatment servicesPartner across regions to grow teams, capabilities, and market presenceLead technical direction and elevate quality across all drinking water projectsIdentify emerging water treatment trends, regulations, and innovations and turn them into strategySupport major pursuits and build strong, lasting client relationshipsMentor and develop engineers and technical leaders across multiple officesWhy This Role Is Different This is not a regional role-it is a firmwide leadership position with the ability to: Influence how drinking water projects are delivered across multiple statesBuild and scale a nationally recognized practiceDrive both technical excellence and business growthCollaborate with leadership across operations, client development, and strategyTechnical Focus Areas Our Drinking Water Treatment teams focus on: Drinking water treatment design and optimizationSurface water and groundwater systems (wells, intakes)Water treatment and facility planningDrinking water regulations and complianceDistribution system water qualityWhat Success Looks LikeGrowth and expansion of AE2S' drinking water practice nationwideA strong and visible technical leadership presence in the marketHigh-performing, engaged teams across officesIncreased project wins and client partnershipsQualifications What you Bring Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related)Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)10 or more years of experience in drinking water or water treatment engineering2 years of leadership experience (team, project, or practice level)Strong client relationship and business development experienceProven ability to manage clients, win new clients, and retain clientsAbility to travel about 25-percentAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.Physical RequirementsAbility to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrainAbility to stand or sit for prolonged periods of timeOccasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twistOccasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weightMay require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 poundsAbility to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwearMay require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workloadMay be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town Why AE2S AE2S is an employee-owned engineering consulting firm focused on solving complex water challenges.
