Casual Physical Medicine And Rehabilitation PhysiciansAbout Children's Minnesota Children's Minnesota is one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. An independent and not-for-profit system since 1924, Children's Minnesota is one system serving kids throughout the Upper Midwest at two free-standing hospitals, nine primary care clinics, multiple specialty clinics and seven rehabilitation sites. As The Kids Experts in our region, Children's Minnesota is regularly ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a top children's hospital. We are seeking Casual Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physicians to join our busy practice. Department Overview The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services department has locations on the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. They provide comprehensive evaluation and rehabilitation management services relating to congenital or acquired conditions that may lead to physical cognitive impairment. Patients receive help to achieve or regain functional potential in areas such as mobility, communication, and self-care. All care is coordinated with the patient's primary care provider. Our rehab department consists of over 150 physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, who work collaboratively with a pediatric physiatrist and physiatry nurse practitioner. Rehabilitation Services are provided at both our Minneapolis and St Paul Hospitals as well as six outpatient therapy clinics. Children's Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine program brings together outpatient support for children with complex needs and dedicated inpatient consultative care to support the acute needs of hospitalized patients. Ambulatory clinics at Children's MN include primary care clinics that are the longest running Health Care Home in Minnesota for children with complex chronic health care needs; spina bifida clinic; NICU follow up clinics; and post-fetal (in utero) clinical care. Hospitalization efforts support a focus on tertiary- and quaternary-care, including a large oncology program, two level 3 NICUs, a pediatric CVICU and heart transplant program, two PICUs, level 1 pediatric surgery verification care, and pediatric level 1 trauma. MD or DO with Physiatry (PM&R) training Board BE/BC in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship program, per subspecialty requirements. All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, and compliance with the U.S. Government Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.
