Career and Technical Education- Paraprofessional
The job of Paraprofessional was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care and instruction of students in the regular classroom in the classroom; assisting in implementing plans for instruction; monitoring student behavior during non-classroom time; providing information to appropriate school personnel.Minimum requirements:High school diplomaMust acquire status as a Highly Qualified ParaprofessionalParticipation, successful completion, and passing required professional development events, in-services, and trainingsExperience with young adultsFlexible and reliableAbility to work effectively and regularly with a computerMust have adequate verbal and written communication skillsAbility to function under the direction of the teacherPossess good judgmentAbility to establish rapport with studentsAbility to maintain positive relationships with program staffReliable means of transportation
