Forklift Operator (Shipping & Receiving)
Forklift Operator - Shipping and Receiving We are seeking a skilled Shipping and Receiving Specialist to perform accurate, timely, and efficient movement of products through our warehouse. Experience in inventory control, order processing, and outbound shipments is highly valued. Candidates with 1–3 years of experience are preferred. Responsibilities Ship units to customers by managing and organizing distribution center transfers and stock orders. Organize all printed orders from the sales department to ensure timely processing. Double-check all outgoing orders to verify accuracy in quantities, part numbers, and documentation. Load and unload trucks using a forklift and manual handling while following safe practices. Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to process orders accurately and maintain data integrity. Collaborate with warehouse staff to pull, pick, and ship orders efficiently and accurately. Essential Skills 2+ years of warehouse experience. Proficiency in operating a forklift, including safe loading and unloading of trucks. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer skills. Knowledgeable in inventory control processes and the use of RF scanners. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading materials. Capability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Additionally, overtime is typically not capped, allowing for increased earning potential. Work Environment This role is based in a dynamic facility that combines an assembly line and a warehouse. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with potential overtime that may require starting an hour earlier or staying an hour later. You will work around manufacturing equipment, forklifts, and warehouse racking in an environment where safety and hands-on learning are prioritized. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Algona, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
