Qualifications:High School deploma or equivalentA minmum of 3 years general office work, including 1 year of purchasingDemonstrated ability to use computerized financial systemDemonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Office and Google suite Reports to:Assistant Superintendent of Operations and Finance Job Goal:Under the direction of the Asst. Superintendent of Operations and Finance, the purchasing clerk provides purchasing services to all district departments. The primary goal of this position is to purchase supplies, materials, services and equipment of the right quality and quantity delivered to the right department, in a timely manner, at the best price. Performance Responsibilities:Establish/refine procedures for ordering distirct suppliesAssist in development of specifications for bid itemsAssist in bid process for the districtEnter orders into the district's financial systemCommunicate with vendors regarding ordersWork with accounts payable to ensure that orders are received, invoiced and properly paidAssist in Bond Project Management and Tracking.Run reports an provide information to building secretaries as neededOther duties as assigned Terms of Employment:260 days / 12 month
