IMEG is hiring aSenior Civil Designer in Anaheim, CA , to lead the delivery of large and highly complex civil engineering projects as a project manager or lead designer. In this role, you'll provide project direction, advanced engineering analysis, design and implementation oversight, and technical guidance to help achieve positive client outcomes. You'll also support projects within budget, mentor and train team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.Principal ResponsibilitiesLead civil engineering design efforts based on written scope for large, highly complex projectsCreate detailed designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software/tools in accordance with code requirements and IMEG standardsPerform site assessments and develop detailed analysis and technical reportsPartner with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information effectivelyBuild and maintain client relationships through professional communicationConduct in-process reviews of calculations, specifications, and project correspondenceImplement IMEG quality control processes to meet IMEG, industry, and client quality standardsProvide technical training and mentoring; review work by others as neededSupport resolution of field issues with minimal support from senior staffPrioritize safety and regulatory compliance, including interpretation and application of state and local design criteriaCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goalsParticipate in project interviews and project presentationsRequired Qualifications and SkillsBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required10 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the civil engineering consulting industry ORAssociates degree, or certificate, in utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software tools or engineering preferred14 years of experience minimum required, 16 preferred, in the civil engineering consulting or construction industryLead the design and analysis of Civil Engineering project features utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standardsStrong training, mentoring and leadership skillsAbility to perform final quality control check in their area of expertiseAbility to sell work and develop client relationshipsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groupsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsEagerness to adapt to new challengesProficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight staysThis position is not eligible for sponsorship.Why Join UsIMEG puts people first-with a strong focus on career growth, work-life balance, and meaningful impact. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
