Job Summary – Data acquisition: Find datasets that meet business needs Data processing: Develop algorithms to transform data into useful information Data infrastructure: Build and maintain data management systems, such as databases and data pipelines Data security: Implement security measures to protect sensitive data Data collaboration: Work with other teams to understand data requirements and deliver relevant datasets Data documentation: Maintain documentation of data processes, workflows, and best practices Data optimization: Optimize data infrastructure and processes for better performance and scalability Data analysis: Create analytical tools to provide insight into key business performance metrics Data visualization: Build data models and pipelines for research, reporting, and machine learning Years of experience needed – 10 + years Technical Expertise: Familiar with different types of data storage, including SQL and NoSQL databases Need to know how to use database management systems like MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB Change Management Methodology: Proficiency in ITIL or other recognized change management frameworks, including knowledge of best practices for managing change. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze potential impacts of changes, identify risks, and make informed decisions. Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across different departments and manage expectations effectively.
