Candidate must have knowledge of perfmon, SQL Server dynamic management views.Knowledge of SQL server internals.Knowledge of SQL partitioning and compressionHands-on experience on mirroring, replication and Always ONMust have automation experience. Good knowledge of scripting. Ability to write T-Sql scripts, Power Shell, or Python.Excellent knowledge of SSIS packages.Hands-on experience on SQL Server Clustering.Hands-on experience on Integration Services, Reporting services and Analysis servicesMust have good knowledge in SQL Server permission/security policies.At least 6 months experience with AWS Cloud RDSGood to have skillsMySQL knowledge / experience.Linux Knowledge.Experience with Cloud services like AzureExperience with SnowFlakeCertifications DesiredMS certifications on MSSQL latest versions.High Level Role Responsibilities and Interpersonal skills needed for this roleAbility to integrate data between SQL databases and NON-SQL dstabases to SQL databasesAbility to think about a problem, identify what we have and implement solutions to solve the problem independently.Work with onsite client team / Application owners in US / UK to Migrate Applications, Database building and Decommissioning.Ability to take lead on some projects and works as part of a team (follow another leader on others)Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to think in and out of the box. Come up with service improvement ideas and innovative solutions.Self-motivated, conscientious, dedicated individual who works equally well independently or as a member of a team.Must be willing to take responsibility and ownership instead of waiting to be assigned workThe candidate must be willing to provide On-call and weekend support for SQL and MYSQL, the support is rotated among DBA's in US, UK and IndiaEnable and support the team in resolving day-to-day production issues, application upgrades and patches, performance analysis, disaster recovery implementation, capacity planning and other activities as may be necessary.Work on Change implementations during UK, US business hours & weekends as per change management processDocumentation & Operational performance reportingOwn Service ImprovementsExecute on demand IT projects.Drive compliance to client and organization processes and policiesEnsure Quality of deliverablesThe above is not a comprehensive list and could change based on business requirementsEducation & Experience RequirementsEducation - Bachelor or higher degree.10+ years' experience in working in IT services organization.At least 8+ years of SQL DBA experience covering implementation, production support and project work.At least 5+ years of exposure as L3/SME support role.Knowledge and Understanding of the ITIl process.In client facing role(s) globally for at least 5 years.On call support for at least 5 years.
