Machine Builder

Proficient Machine and Automation, located in Byron Center, is looking for a first shift, full time, machine builder, with previous machine building experience. The desired candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in the automation trade. Essential functions/requirements include: · Must have experience in Pneumatic, Electrical & Mechanical Schematics · General knowledge of measuring tools · Be able to build assemblies using mechanical assembly drawings · Be able to read prints, drawings or sketches and determine tolerance stack-ups of assemblies · Be able to read electrical/pneumatic prints or drawings to wire and plumb machines · Able to keep a clean and safe work area · Have good communication and problem-solving skills with ability to work well with others · Have knowledge of general machine building standards · Must be able to install and troubleshoot equipment from assembly fixtures to full automation · Mechanical and electrical debug of machines or fixtures after assembly is complete · Perform accurate inspections of completed machines · Manage assemble time to ensure completion of assigned projects within specified time frame. · Must have own tools/toolbox · Must be willing to work overtime as needed; occasional travel required · Be able to lift 25-50 lbs. when needed · Ability to prioritize and make progress on multiple projects · Excellent computer skills · Excellent communication skills · Other duties as assigned Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Compensation Package: Bonus opportunities Schedule: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Overtime Application Question(s): How many hours do you prefer to work per week?
