We offer a supportive environment, competitive pay, and benefits.We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Director of Food Services to oversee the entire dietary and dining operations. They are responsible for leading culinary staff, planning nutritious and therapeutic menus, managing budgets, and ensuring strict compliance with state and federal health regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesMenu Planning & Clinical Needs: Develop and implement regular and therapeutic menus (e.g., low sodium, diabetic, modified textures). Ensure all menus are approved by a Registered Dietitian and tailored to individual resident preferences and medical orders.Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with state, federal, and local food safety, sanitation, and infection control regulations (such as ServSafe). Oversee the kitchen's readiness for state health inspections.Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate culinary and dining room staff. Foster a compassionate and resident-centered work culture.Budget & Inventory Management: Operate the department within the established financial budget. Oversee food purchasing, inventory control, and waste reduction without compromising meal quality.Quality Assurance & Resident Feedback: Conduct daily kitchen walkthroughs and regular meal rounds to speak directly with residents. Investigate complaints and implement immediate corrective actions.Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with the nursing, medical, and social services teams to plan care and support residents’ overall health and nutritional well-being.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Associate's degree or higher in Food Service Management, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or Nutrition is highly preferred.Certification: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) is required.Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of progressive food service management experience, specifically in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or senior living environment.Skills: Strong working knowledge of therapeutic diets, clinical nutrition, regulatory compliance, and budget management.
