It is an opportunity to gain professional development by receiving quality training with consistent feedback and coaching. As a MOM's leader you can positively affect our store environment, customer experience, and influence the future direction of the company. How the GMIT Program Works:Focus on LeadershipThe GMIT program focuses on building MOM's future leaders by putting the emphasis on leadership training. To do so, an Individual Development Plan (IDP) will be formulated with learning goals and regularly scheduled check-ins to track progress. Mastering tasks, such as ordering and schedule writing will be an integral part of your development as a future leader.Length of ProgramThe IDP will be developed to a 12-18 month timeframe. Most candidates will be on a 12 month plan, but it can be shorter depending on experience and other factors.Working in multiple storesDuring the program the GMIT will most likely work in a minimum of two stores. Working in multiple stores allows the GMIT to gain experience with varying sales volumes, learn to work with different management styles, and have exposure addressing a variety of unique challenges faced at MOMs locations. Due to the proximity of stores, a maximum of an hour commute is expected. For some program applicants, access to public transportation to multiple store locations may be a challenge. Please let us know your specific situation when filling out your application so that we can consider your situation and needs fairly.Scheduling ExpectationsThe ability to perform effectively throughout all stages of the dailyworkflow is imperative. With this in mind, GMIT's will be expected to maintain open schedulingavailability, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.RigorThe GMIT program will require the candidate to stretch themselves and be held accountable. During this process the GMIT will be supported with weekly, daily, and quarterly check-ins with their Department Manager/GM and Specialist/Director to provide guidance and the tools to succeed.CompensationGrocery Managers in training will earn $24.00/hour for the duration of the program. What we look forHigh school diploma or equivalent5 years minimum related work experienceDependable and reliable, having the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes; including a minimum of 5 shifts and 1 weekend day which include mornings, nights, and holidays as well as having flexibility with store assignments within an hour drive of homePhysical ability to perform the following: standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire work day and the ability to lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbsBasic knowledge of math, weights and measuresBasic experience with Google Suite and Microsoft OfficeExcellent attention to detail, especially with communication (written and verbal) and meeting deadlinesAbility to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demandsDependable, follows instructions and takes initiative to solve problemsExperience in a fast-paced work environmentStrong customer service skills, including patience and active listening, to ensure customer feel heard and helpedPositive attitude and ability to embody our company valuesGood communication skills; the ability to take direction/feedback and participate in a team environmentBe able to perform repetitive activities, have the ability to multi-take, prioritize and stay organizedJ-18808-Ljbffr
