Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead and deliver commercial mechanical projects from pre-construction through closeout. The successful candidate will oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control for HVAC, sheet metal, piping, plumbing, and other mechanical systems. This role requires hands-on technical understanding, strong construction management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with owners, design teams, contractors, and trade partners to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesLead project planning and execution for commercial mechanical projects, including HVAC, sheet metal, piping, and plumbing systems.Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts; track progress and implement corrective actions to meet milestones and financial targets.Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors to clarify scope, resolve design issues, and manage changes.Oversee procurement and material logistics to ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment and components.Supervise on-site construction activities, enforce quality control, ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and safety regulations.Manage and mentor mechanical field and office staff, including foremen, superintendents, and project engineers.Prepare and review subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation; maintain accurate records and reporting.Conduct risk assessments, identify potential issues early, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize cost and schedule impacts.Ensure project closeout requirements are completed including commissioning, punch lists, warranty documentation, and as-built drawings.Foster strong client relationships and represent the company professionally at meetings, job walks, and site visits.QualificationsBachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.5+ years of project management experience on commercial mechanical construction projects, including HVAC, piping, sheet metal, and plumbing systems.Proven experience with scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar), and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design, installation practices, code requirements, and commissioning processes.Experience managing budgets, cost control, change orders, and subcontractor performance.Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.Demonstrated commitment to safety with experience implementing site safety programs and ensuring compliance.Relevant certifications preferred (PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or NATE) and valid drivers license; local jurisdiction licenses or trade certifications a plus.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, and to travel to project sites as required.BenefitsCompetitive Base Salary: $110k - $140k DOELucrative BonusCompany Vehicle or Auto AllowanceGas AllowanceHealth/Dental/VisionLife InsuranceAD&DShort Term and Long Term Disability401(k)PTO/Sick LeaveHolidays Off  Email Your Resume In Word ToKyle.Cockell@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
