Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security's X-37B program at the Kennedy Space Center is seeking a Quality Production Specialist to support inspection of X-37B hardware, documentation of non-conformances, area audits/surveillances, and receiving inspection. This position is located in Kennedy Space Center, Florida.This quality production specialist role will be part of a larger team of Quality Specialist and Quality Engineers who serve as the primary point of contact for operations to provide review, acceptance, and ensure product and area integrity.Position Responsibilities:Level 2:Assists with oversight/inspection of operations to verify and ensure product integrityAssists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirementsSupports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processesParticipates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plansAbility to apply basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systemsGathers data and provides recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processesAssists with the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive actionAssists in obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes and submits for reviewSupports concurrence and obtains commitments to support program resolutionParticipates and observes the validation associated with corrective action to assure nonconformance has been eliminatedVerifies internal replication systems adhere to Company and regulatory standards and proceduresCreates airplane specific airborne software packagesPerform audits and surveillances of areas to ensure proper compliance to requirementsAssists in the creation of reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal distributionWorks under general supervision.Level 3Provides oversight/inspection of operations to verify and ensure product integrityReviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirementsPerforms analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulationsApplies knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systemsTrains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management SystemPerforms root cause analysis on the nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrenceIndependently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolutionObtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processesNegotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolutionReviews and validates the corrective action plans and identifies effectivity to ensure completionReviews and approves Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processesGuides validation of configuration management, quality procedures and material review policies to deliver the software productsDevelops software system processes to support changing industry standardsReviews and implements corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirementsPerform audits and surveillances of areas to ensure proper compliance to requirementsInterprets industry standards and provide recommendations for implementationCreates analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distributionWorks under general directionNASA Access: This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime1+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications?Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)1+ years of experience in inspectionPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience with MESci, TIPQA, and ECCExperience with TeamCenterKnowledge of the Boeing Quality Management System and Production SystemTravel:Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.Shift:This role starts on first shift but will be primarily second shift starting in late 2027. There may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.
