Art Studio Facilitator

Job Description: Outsider Collective is a diverse artistic community which teaches artists of all abilities in a way that works best for them. We are seeking a Studio Facilitator to join our inclusive creative community on a part-time basis. This role involves facilitating artistic projects, helping our artist members develop and reach their artistic goals, and working closely with volunteers and the Director of the program with art shows and program development. Additional responsibilities include teaching accessible art classes. Our artist members are diverse with a majority having intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are also in the process of developing a silk screen printing studio so having knowledge in that process is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and group instruction in a multitude of artistic mediums including but not limited to, painting with acrylics and watercolor, color mixing, observational drawing, sculpture and more Maintain a welcoming and supportive studio environment, ensuring participants feel empowered and valued. Independently manage studio operations from time to time. Collaborate with team members to enhance program offerings and support the overall mission of Outsider Collective Assist with merchandise creation and design Help with gallery show set up/ breakdown Post on social media Maintain studio organization Qualifications: Experience teaching Studio instruction particularly with adult learners and individuals with disabilities. Interest in working with diverse populations. Ability to teach and adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles. Proficiency in multiple artistic mediums. Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor. Reliable and able to work independently after training. Excitement to bring creative ideas to grow the mission of the OC. Job Type: Part-time Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week Schedule: 4 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday No weekends Work Location: In person
