Security Receptionist

Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionJob Summary:The Security Receptionist will operate under the direct supervision of the Center Manager. They are responsible for managing the front desk while ensuring the safety and security of the staff and donors. The Security Receptionist will provide exceptional customer service while overseeing security procedures, including registering new donors, and conducting routine security checks. The Security Receptionist will comply with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, state regulations, and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Manual guidelines and any other applicable regulatory standards.(The following list is intended to be a guideline. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned):Provide on-site support for Security Management initiatives that ensure the safety of on-site staff and donors. Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, donors, vendors, and other people to maintain security of the premisesGreet and register donors. Serve as the primary security access pointHandle emergencies according to protocols and standard operating procedures.Contact donors and re-schedule donor appointments as needed; conduct follow-up calls on missed appointmentsEnsure areas is clean and maintained according to regulations Communicate delays and other issues to center management, nurse and/or other necessary partiesDocument activities and issues, when necessaryAnswer donor inquiries Available to travel up to 25 miles to other facility(ies) for training or assisting other center's staffing needsOther duties, as assigned RequirementsJob RequirementsEducation And ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (must provide documentation) Ability to read and write English+ Proficiency in computer operations 2+ years of previous reception and security experience preferredDe-escalation training a plusRequired Skills/AbilitiesMust be able to operate accurately the following equipment:Computer (basic skills include typing, following prompts on monitor, using mouse, saving information etc.) Telephone (properly greet/transfer calls, take massages, place individuals on hold etc.) Personality and demeanor to deal with the public, including contentious donors. Basic office skills such as typing and filing. Good organizational skills. Physical RequirementsRead computer screens, procedure manuals and other documents Must be proficient in English (Read, Write, Speak) with legible handwriting Hear doorbells, alarms, telephone, and other mechanical devices Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift, pull tug up to 50+ pounds with or without assistance at timesRegularly required use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with the hands and arms
