This role is pivotal in developing visual database content for next-generation flight simulators designed to train military pilots. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality visual terrain data, models, and textures that enhance the realism and effectiveness of our simulation training systems. Located in Hazelwood, Missouri, this position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that directly contribute to national security and aerospace excellence.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a combination of education and experience that demonstrates proficiency in geospatial data manipulation, 3D modeling, and visual database development. A minimum of two years of experience with GIS tools, geospatial concepts, and visual database creation is required. Familiarity with 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender, along with photo-editing tools like Adobe Photoshop, is essential. Candidates with a higher degree or more extensive experience in related fields will be prioritized. Knowledge of flight simulation standards, FAA airfield regulations, and industry-standard data sources will be considered advantageous.
