Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients.Position OverviewThe Licensed Counselor will provide counseling to a diverse caseload of individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, delivering individual and group therapy, and collaborating with the treatment team to ensure client-centered care.What We OfferCompetitive, above-market compensationComprehensive benefits packageLCSW supervision providedOpportunities for professional growth and career advancementKey ResponsibilitiesConduct evaluations and provide therapeutic interventions for adults with substance use disordersPerform intake services for new and transferring clientsEngage clients in their recovery journey, ensuring compliance and participationPerform detailed assessments, including formulation, differential diagnosis, treatment, and safety planningDeliver individual and group therapy rooted in evidence-based practicesMaintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with OMH, OASAS, and organizational standardsAssist in developing and enhancing evidence-based group therapy curriculumsAttend professional training and seminars to maintain clinical competenceProvide training and guidance to clinical staff on mental health diagnosesParticipate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case conferencesOffer crisis intervention services as neededQualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience in substance use disorder treatment or social work in a mental/behavioral health settingActive and unrestricted CASAC, LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC licensure in New York StateStrong organizational and multitasking skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication abilities (verbal and written)Diplomacy, discretion, and cultural sensitivity in handling sensitive issuesAbility to maintain professionalism under pressure while working with urgency and quality
