As an Automation Engineering Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring reliable system integration, testing, and operational readiness across power generation, substations, and energy storage systems.What You’ll DoSupport commissioning, startup, and system turnover for automation systemsTroubleshoot and resolve PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI-related issues in real timeAssist with FAT/SAT activities, systemization, and punch-list resolutionDevelop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and test protocolsValidate control systems, startup/shutdown logic, and alarm managementCollaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teamsSupport cybersecurity, system patching, and hardware lifecycle activitiesPrepare technical reports, readiness reviews, and documentation packagesDrive continuous improvement in commissioning processesRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED8+ years of experience in power generation, energy infrastructure, commissioning, or industrial automationStrong knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systemsExperience with commissioning workflows, system turnover, and documentationFamiliarity with communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850)Proficiency in Microsoft Office and field reporting toolsWork EnvironmentField-based role supporting active commissioning and startup environmentsWork in industrial settings with a strong focus on safety and compliance
