Maintenance Technician

Job Description We are growing and looking to add a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Farmington, MN! This position is part time (5-20 hours/week).Ensure all your application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity.You'll be responsible for maintaining the physical asset of our properties. Day-to-day tasks include, but are not limited to, building maintenance, apartment repairs, reconditioning, painting, minor plumbing and electrical, along with grounds care and snow removal as needed. Great customer service is a must as you will work daily with our residents.Job Tasks & Responsibilities will vary with experience but can include:Perform highly diversified duties relating to all aspects of maintenanceMonitor and maintain all building systems as assignedInspect units and overall property conditionMinor plumbing - fixture replacement, drain snaking, leak repairs, etc.Basic electric-fixture and device replacements, basic troubleshootingTurnover unit painting as neededMaintain landscaping and groundsComplete resident work orders promptlyMaintain inventory for cost effective operationsComplete “make ready” process of vacant apartmentsTravel to additional properties as neededSnow removal and lawncare as neededCoordinate and oversee contractorsEnsure repairs are within established expense limitsCarry a cell phone for on-call maintenance including after-hour emergency callsRecord detailed maintenance logsSubmit receipts, timesheets, and mileage in timely mannerMaintain professional courteous manner with all residents, contractor, and fellow employeesPerform all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent mannerComply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work areaRequirements:Demonstrated maintenance or repair experienceKnowledge of computer and software applicationsExcellent organization and time management skillsAbility to handle confidential informationMust be willing to travel to other properties in the area as neededMust have a valid driver's licenseAbility to pass a criminal background checkAt Herzog Property Management, we manage properties throughout Minnesota from single family homes to brand new 100 plus unit apartment buildings and everything in between. xaygatp If you are ready to make your next career move, apply today!
