MCS Associate Quality Control
ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a MCS Associate Quality Control with a Biotechnology company. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity with our client located in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is onsite position.Summary:Under general supervision, this position will perform routine procedures and testing in support of the quality control lab. The ideal candidate will have experience in a regulated GMP environment, performing analytical testing including cell-based potency assays and ligand-binding assays (e.g., ELISA), and demonstrating proficiency in core laboratory techniques.Responsibilities:Execute cell-based potency assays and ligand-binding assays (e.g., ELISA) to support release and characterization testing of drug substance and drug productPerform routine bioassay testing in support of stability studies, including sample preparation, assay execution, and data analysisAccurately document test results in accordance with GMP requirements, ensuring data integrity and compliance with established SOPsPrepare reagents, standards, and controls, including performing precise pipetting and serial dilutions required for assay executionMaintain and monitor cell cultures to support cell-based assays, ensuring cell health and assay readinessOperate and maintain laboratory equipment, including plate readers and automated liquid handling systemsManage inventory of critical reagents, reference standards, and laboratory supplies; coordinate ordering and ensure material availabilitySupport assay troubleshooting, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives as neededCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of testing to meet production and stability timelinesRequirements:High school/GED and 2 years of work or military experience OR Associate's degree and 6 months of work or military experienceBachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry) is idealLab and GMP experience in a regulated environment, preferably within pharma, biotech, or academiaHands-on experience in analytical testing, including cell-based potency assays and/or ligand-binding assays (e.g., ELISA)Proficiency in core laboratory techniques, including accurate pipetting, preparation of serial dilutions, and general assay setupWorking knowledge of QC/GMP practices, including proper documentation, data integrity, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)Basic Excel and Word proficiencyDesired skills:Ability to adhere to regulatory requirements, written procedures and safety guidelinesAbility to evaluate documentation/data according to company and regulatory guidelinesAbility to organize work, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong written and oral communication skillsDetail-orientatedFlexible and adaptable to changing priorities and requirementsPay range: Up to $27.32 per HourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!ApTask Global Workforce (AGW)ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is a certified Minority and Veteran workforce solutions company.
