Materials Specialist – Materials Management- Part Time

As a Materials Specialist, you will help maintain accurate inventory across clinical areas, ensuring supplies are stocked, tracked, and available when needed. Charming downtowns, welcoming communities, and a strong sense of place make this an ideal location for both professional growth and personal enjoyment.ResponsibilitiesInventory Management (Primary)Perform daily inventory adjustmentsConduct daily physical inventory counts of medical suppliesReconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system recordsRestock and rotate supplies to maintain accuracy and expiration complianceMaintain clean, clearly labeled, and standardized supply locationsMaintain consistent, adequate stock levels in clinical areasOrganize stock locations with current labels and barcodesUse inventory software to track, adjust, and reorder suppliesEstablish and maintain inventory templates and par levelsSupply Coordination (Secondary)Support purchasing functions for assigned departmentsFollow established processes to maintain appropriate supply levelsCoordinate with nursing staff for special request itemsConsult with managers and clinical staff regarding supply needsTake appropriate action on product and equipment recallsAssist with vendor coordination as neededTeam Communication and Support (Support)Communicate clearly and in a timely fashion with team membersSupport team member with supply-related questionsMaintain a clean and organized work areaAdhere to safety practices and report hazards promptlyMaintain equipment according to hospital policiesUphold the values of MCH: Compassion, Collaboration, Honesty, and RespectOther duties as assignedRequirementsStrong attention to detail and accuracy requiredAbility to follow and maintain standardized processesComfortable performing repetitive tasks with consistencyBasic data entry and inventory system experience preferredComputer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.Able to communicate clearly with team members as neededThis is an active role that involves regular movement throughout the day.
