McKinney-Vento MentorJob Objectives: Support McKinney-Vento identified students with school attendance and academicsMinimum Qualifications: Secondary Oklahoma Teaching CertificateResponsibilities And Essential FunctionsWorking with the District Homeless Education Liaison to provide assistance to homeless high school students to discourage potential dropout and encourage school successMeeting with identified students who need additional assistance with developing goals that are designed to address their academic, personal and attendance issues.Working closely with principals, attendance principals, counselors, teachers, registrars, and special programs to assist monitoring student's attendance/grades and providing support with academic success as the goal.Documenting case notes and maintaining records of communication with students and community service referrals.Coordinating with a variety of outside service providers and connecting students to programs according to their needsSkills And Abilities Required Hold a valid Oklahoma Secondary Teaching Certificate, and have experience working with secondary students in a classroom settingEMPLOYMENT TYPE: 20 HOURS FLEX WEEKLYOPENINGS: 1
