About the Role
JCL Energy is seeking an Industrial & Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our transformer manufacturing facility and equipment. This role is responsible for maintaining production machinery, performing building repairs and upgrades, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring the facility meets operational standards.
This position is ideal for a self-motivated technician with strong mechanical and electrical skills who enjoys hands-on work and problem solving.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and shop equipment
Perform daily, monthly, and preventive maintenance inspections
Complete building and facility repairs, upgrades, shelving, and workspace improvements
Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime
Use hand and power tools, meters, and material-handling equipment
Record damaged or worn parts and coordinate replacement
Work with production, quality, and engineering teams to support operations
Coordinate with outside contractors and follow up on work completion
Support seasonal exterior and facility maintenance
Maintain maintenance logs and documentation
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
Full-time availability
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Strong mechanical background in a manufacturing environment
Electrical knowledge (low-voltage and industrial wiring) required
Comfortable working on equipment, climbing ladders, and performing hands-on troubleshooting
Self-motivated, organized, and able to follow instructions
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to lift 40–75 lbs with assistance
Preferred Experience
Industrial maintenance or facilities maintenance in manufacturing
Electrical systems repair and troubleshooting
Equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance programs
Working with contractors and vendors
