You will ensure our infrastructure is highly available, cost-effective, and able to handle explosive traffic and compute demands. You will work closely with engineers across product, research, and operations to design scalable architectures, streamline deployments, and improve observability.What You’ll DoDesign and maintain core infrastructure across cloud environmentsBuild infrastructure-as-code workflows to automate deployments and scalingImprove monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain reliabilityManage CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deploymentsSupport disaster recovery planning and ensure high availability of systemsPartner with product and research teams to design architectures that scale with workload demandsIdentify and fix performance bottlenecks in compute, storage, and networkingImplement security best practices and compliance frameworks across infrastructureWho You AreStrong experience with cloud platforms, with AWS preferredProficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as TerraformDeep experience with containers and orchestration, including Docker and KubernetesSolid understanding of distributed architecturesProgramming proficiency in Python and Rust, or willingness to learn Rust quicklyProven ability to ship reliable infrastructure in production environmentsGrowth mindset and eagerness to thrive in a hyper-growth, high-ownership environmentExperience with high-throughput, low-latency systemsDatabase scaling and optimization experienceObservability and monitoring expertiseNetwork architecture and performance tuning experienceSecurity and compliance experienceLocationThis is an on-site role based in our NYC or SF office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact. We are happy to support visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates.For this role, the expected base salary range is $140,000 to $260,000 (NYC and SF). Comp may vary by location. Profound’s total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks.
