Strivector's premier client (a well-known market leader in their space) is hiring for the following full-time direct hire position.POSITION OVERVIEWLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of approximately 12 Mechanical Engineers.Oversee mechanical design and integration activities for aircraft system upgrades and structural modifications.Manage designs involving primary and secondary aircraft structures, electrical equipment racks, and external antenna installations.Ensure 3D CAD designs, engineering drawings, and design reviews meet military and commercial standards, customer specifications, and system requirements.Provide technical oversight and engineering judgment for structural layouts, aircraft modifications, and liaison engineering activities.Manage resource planning, workload forecasting, job assignments, and manpower estimates.Monitor project status and support bid and proposal efforts while maintaining cost, schedule, and quality objectives.Maintain and improve mechanical engineering processes to support efficiency and innovation.Manage team performance through goal setting, coaching, training, and annual reviews.Promote a safe, positive, collaborative, and inclusive engineering environment.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering with a minimum of 9 years of related experience.Graduate degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, and/or Systems Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of related experience is a plus.In lieu of a degree, 13+ years of relevant experience.Minimum 4 years of experience with mechanical design principles involving aircraft structures and components.Minimum 4 years of experience modifying aircraft primary and secondary structures.Minimum 1 year of managerial experience with direct reports.Strong analytical and communication skills.Ability to coach, train, motivate, and manage technical personnel.Experience managing complex engineering activities while meeting cost and schedule objectives.Strong engineering judgment, attention to detail, listening skills, and ability to work under pressure.Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.Active Secret security clearance is preferred.Ability and willingness to relocate to Waco, TX and work fully onsite.Compensation: Based on Experience.
