Job DescriptionHalcyon Nurse Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health Manager for a nursing job in New York, New York.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Behavioral HealthDiscipline: RNDuration: Ongoing40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, days, nightsEmployment Type: StaffTitle: Nurse Manager - Behavioral HealthFacility: Brookdale HospitalLocation: 1 Brookdale Plaza, Brooklyn, NY 11212Duration: Full-time, PermanentShift: 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM Monday to FridayTarget start date: ASAPSalary: $145,000 - $160,000 Year (The facility will decide) Benefits will be discussed by the facility during the interview.Required Skills & Experience:\n-Minimum five (5) years as Registered Nurse.\n-Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in psychiatry.\n-Minimum two (2) years of experience in a leadership role.\n\n-Critical thinking, math, and computer skills; works as a team player.\n-Monitors and facilitates the meeting of requirements of NYSDOH, JCAHO and other regulators.\n-Knowledge of quality improvement philosophy models, processes and tools and their use in health care integrated settings.\n-Maintains currency with state of the art and regulatory trends.\n-Knowledge of methods for CQI, and Root Cause Analysis.\n-Demonstrates respect and professionalism in all interactions.\n-Demonstrates competence in leadership, budgetary and administrative skills.\n-Demonstrates a commitment to continuing professional growth and development.\n-Excellent oral and communication skills.\n-Experience and demonstrated competency in applicable clinical specialty.\n-Decision making and problem solving.\n-Able to read, write, see and hear English.\n-Ability to fully utilize BHMC's electronic record systems, equipment and healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.\n\nEducation:\nRequired Education:\n-Graduate of accredited Nursing school BSN.\n\nPreferred Education:\n-Master's Degree in Nursing.\n\nRequired Certifications & Licensure:\n-Licensed and currently registered as a Professional Nurse in New York State.\n-Basic Life Support.\n-ACLS.\n-Crisis Management (PMCS, TRUST).\n\nExperience:\nRequired Skills & Experience:\nPrevious experience working with children ages six (6) weeks to six (6) years of age (paid or unpaid).\n-Two (2) years of formal experience.About Halcyon Nurse StaffingAt Halcyon Nurse Staffing, we specialize in providing top-tier travel, Per diem, and Permanent staffing solutions nationwide.
