Job DescriptionUnderground Electrical Foreperson\nPay Range: $31-$37 per hour\nJob Location: Wilmington, NC\nBenefits:\n\nCompany matched 401K\nHealth\nDental\nVision\nVol Life\nLTD\nPaid Holidays\nPTO\nFree Basic Life and short term disability.\n\n \nReports To:\nThe UG Electrical Foreperson will report to Superintendent or Director of Construction.\n \nJob Overview\nThe purpose of this position is to provide guidance, direction and oversight to underground crews operating at the job site.\n \nResponsibilities and Duties:\n\nWork safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair of underground installation work\nCapable of leading underground service crew to complete infrastructure and duct bank install\nSupervises crew and demonstrates working knowledge of leadership and management skills\nCapable of leading and training lower skilled employees in safe and productive work procedures\nCapable of planning safe work based on a job print or work order\nCoordinates and inspects the work of crew members\nConducts pre-job or tailgate briefings\nEnsure inspections status; scheduled and completed\nPossess a working knowledge of all aspects of underground distribution\nTroubleshoots problems on underground raceways and circuits\nUnderstands how to safely operate equipment\nMaintains company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order\nEnsure special equipment needs are requested\nEnsure project benchmarks are achieved, and job schedule is maintained\nMay attend project meetings and communicate information to PM and job foreman\nProvide assistance and oversight of safety initiatives and ensure a safe work environment for all personnel\nThis position will be expected to promote an emphasis on creating a team oriented, positive work environment which promotes a culture of safety and open communication\n\n \nQualifications\n\nThis position will require experience working in field install and operations, primarily in the construction and service of the commercial electrical industry.\nExperience with job site layout based upon plan takeoff and interpretation are critical to this position.\nExperience with excavation operations and the various associated equipment is a must.\nExperience with trade inspections, dealing with various jurisdictions and inspectors are also areas which are beneficial.\nWhile formal education is not a requirement for this position, associated trade certifications are beneficial.\nThe individual should also demonstrate strong leadership, supervisory, communication and problem-solving skills.\n\n \nPhysical and Environmental Requirements:\n\nShould be able to sit, bend, stoop and lift items which occasionally exceed 50 pounds.\nBe able to climb, crawl and squat as the job demands.\nThe work environment is outdoors in all type weather to include extreme heat and cold.\nThe individual is exposed to extreme conditions of a construction site such as loud noise, dusty environments, moving mechanical equipment, vibration of mechanical equipment.\n\n \nR.D.
