Human Resources Manager

*Duties*
* Lead comprehensive talent acquisition efforts by utilizing HR sourcing tools such as ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) like Lever, Taleo, or Workday to attract high-caliber candidates.
* Oversee employee orientation programs to ensure smooth onboarding experiences that promote engagement and retention.
* Manage employee evaluation processes, including performance management systems and succession planning initiatives, to support career development.
* Administer benefits programs and handle payroll processing in compliance with employment law and HR legal standards using systems like SAP SuccessFactors or UltiPro.
* Develop and implement HR policies aligned with regulatory compliance management, OSHA standards, FMLA regulations, and affirmative action planning.
* Facilitate training & development sessions to enhance workforce skills and support organizational growth through effective project management.
* Handle employee relations issues with proactive conflict management strategies while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
*Experience*
* Proven experience in human resources management within a fast-paced environment, demonstrating expertise in HR department operations and employment & labor law compliance.
* Strong background in human capital management, workforce planning, and organization design supported by proficiency in HRIS systems such as Oracle HCM or Workday.
* Demonstrated ability to lead change management initiatives and execute strategic planning for talent management and succession planning.
* Skilled in data collection and Excel data analysis for HR metrics reporting and decision-making processes.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally while fostering positive employee relations.
* Familiarity with benefits administration, workers' compensation procedures, OSHA standards, and personnel administration practices.
*Required:*
*Must be fluent in Japanese (spoken and written).*
*Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.*
*Must have PHR or SHRM-CP certification.*
Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably with supervisory, lead, or HR generalist responsibility.
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment compliance, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and employee relations.
Excellent customer service, communication, and follow-up skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Practical problem-solving ability with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, vendors, and leadership.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google applications, and HR systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality while working effectively with a diverse employee population.
Ability to perform standard office duties, including working at a computer for extended periods.
Ability to travel as needed to support company locations, meetings, audits, or employee-related matters.
Hands-on experience processing payroll from start to finish
Hands-on experience processing multi-state payroll
Direct payroll processing experience is required; experience limited to managing or overseeing payroll functions does not meet this requirement
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance
*Preferred:*
Experience with ADP, online benefits platforms, applicant tracking systems, web-based learning management systems, and HR technology preferred.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
